Before you make these Homemade Firecracker Popsicles you will need to grab a few items.

How to Make Homemade Firecracker Popsicles

Begin by pitting your cherries and adding them to a blender with cherry-flavored water. Blend the cherries thoroughly. Strain the mixture through a fine-mesh strainer into your small pot. Add your sugar and heat the mixture on medium-high heat until all the sugar has dissolved. Remove from stove and let it cool. After the mixture has cooled use a candy dropper to add the mixture to the popsicle molds.

Set the mold in the freezer until the layer is firm enough to add the next layer. To make the lime mixture begin by juicing one lime. Add the water and sugar to the lime juice and heat on medium-high heat until the sugar has dissolved. Let cool and then add a layer to each mold and return them to the freezer.

Make the kool-aid according to the package directions. Add the final layer to mold with the popsicle sticks and place them in the freezer to freeze completely. Once frozen remove from freezer and mold underwater for a few seconds then gently remove popsicle from the mold. Return to the freezer to enjoy later or serve and enjoy immediately.

Ingredients

Cherry

Lime

  • Juice of 1 Fresh Lime
  • 1/2 Cup Sugar
  • 1 Cup Water

Blue Raspberry

  • Blue Raspberry Lemonade Kool Aid packet
  • Sugar
  • Water

Instructions

Cherry

  1. Begin by pitting your cherries and adding them to a blender with cherry flavored water. Blend the cherries thoroughly.
  2. Strain the mixture through a fine mess strainer into your small pot. Add your sugar and heat the mixture on medium high heat until all the sugar is dissolved.
  3. Remove from stove and let it cool. Once the mixture is cool use a candy dropper to add a layer of the strained cherry mixture to the popsicle molds.
  4. Set the mold in the freezer until the layer is firm enough to add the next layer.

Lime

  1. For the lime mixture begin by juicing one lime.
  2. Add the water and sugar to mixture and heat on medium high heat until the sugar has dissolved. Let cool and then add a layer to each mold and return them to the freezer.

Blue Raspberry

  1. Make the Kool aid according to the package directions.
  2. Add the final layer to mold once previous layer is firm enough then add popsicle sticks and place in the freezer to freeze completely.
  3. Once frozen remove from freezer run mold under water for a few seconds the gently remove popsicle from the mold. Return to freezer to enjoy later of serve and enjoy immediately.
