A warm beverage that taste like Christmas in a cup
Ingredients
Scale
Hot Chocolate
- 2 Cup Unsweetened Almond Milk
- 1/2 Cup White Chocolate Chips
- 3–4 Tablespoons Gingerbread Syrup
Gingerbread Simple Syrup
- 1 Cup Water
- 3/4 Cups Sugar
- 1/4 Cup Molasses
- 1 Tablespoon gingerbread spice
Instructions
- Add sugar, water, molasses, and gingerbread spice mixture to a small pot.
- Heat on medium high heat stirring until everything is combined and mixture has thickened.
- Remove the mixture from the stove and set aside.
- Grab another sauce pot and add water. Place on stove at medium high heat.
- In a glass bowl add milk and chocolate. Place glass bowl on the pot that’s on the stove and whisk until chocolate has melted and combined with milk. *See Note*
- Carefully remove from pan and remove pan from stove.
- Divide the hot chocolate between two cups and add 3-4 tablespoons of simple syrup. Stir until combined.
- Top with your favorite toppings and enjoy.
Notes
- When doing double broiler method make sure water isn’t touching the bowl. You want just enough water that it steams the bottom of the bowl then just continue whisking until the chocolate is melted and combined with the milk.
