Cozy Creamy Kale Pesto Pasta
Ingredients

Pasta
- 3 Cups Whole Wheat Bowtie Pasta
- Water
Sauce
- 1 1/2 Cups Pesto
- 3 Cups of Milk
- 2 Tbsp. Butter
- 4 Tbsp. Flour
- 1 Tsp salt
- 1 Tsp Pepper
Chicken
- 2 Chicken Breast
- 1/2 Tsp Salt
- 1/2 Tsp Pepper
- 2 Tbsp. McCormick’s Tuscan Seasoning
Instructions
- Cook Pasta according to box directions and then set aside in a large bowl.
- Mix spices for chicken
- Add oil to pan place on stove at medium high heat.
- Brush both side of chicken with oil and then with seasoning mix
- Add chicken to pan and cook for about 5 minutes on each side. Remove from pan and set aside
- In a large sauce pot melt the 2 tablespoons of butter.
- Once melted little by little add flour while simultaneously whisking.
- Whisk until flour and butter are completely combined then slowly add milk while continuing to whisk.
- Once sauce has thickened add pesto, salt and pepper.
- Whisk to combine. Keep in mind sauce will thicken up more as pasta cools.
- Cut chicken into cubes and add it to the bowl with the pasta
- Pour sauce over pasta and chicken. Stir until everything is coated.
- Served garnished with shredded parmesan cheese
