Homemade healthier version of the classic boxed hamburger helper.
Ingredients

- 1 LB Ground Turkey
- 2 Tsp Minced garlic
- 1 Small Onion Diced
- 1 1/2 Cups Colby Jack Cheese
- 1/4 Cup Worcestershire sauce
- 2 Cups Barilla Protein Pasta elbows
- 1 TSP Salt
- 1 TSP Pepper
- 1/2 TSP Chili Powder
- 1 TBSP Webber Cowboy Seasoning (See Notes)
- 1/2 TSP Garlic
- 1/2 TSP Cumin
- 2 1/2 Cups Almond Milk
- 3 1/2 Cups Veggie Broth
- 2 TSP Corn Starch
- 1 TBSP Water
Instructions
- Begin by measuring out all your ingredients.
- In the large pot add olive oil and ground turkey. Cook at medium high heat breaking up the turkey until the it starts to brown.
- Add onion and minced garlic. Cook until turkey is almost cooked through.
- Add spices and stir until combined. Then add Worcestershire sauce, 1 1/2 cups of the broth, milk, and pasta.
- Bring to a boil then reduce to a simmer for 15 minutes.
- Add starch and water to bowl whish until starch is dissolved.
- Add to pot and stir cooking till liquid has thickened.
- Remove from and add remaining broth and the cheese.
- Stir to combine.
- serve and enjoy.
Notes
- If you cant find the cowboy seasoning in your grocery store any dry rub will do you just want something to give the turkey a meaty taste since this recipe doesn’t use beef.
